Dynamic Resource Allocation in Mass Casualty Incidents

Dynamic Resource Allocation in Mass Casualty Incidents

The aim of the SpeedUp project is the support of emergency personnel in mass casualty incidents. Important aspects are to enhance information flow and to allow for dynamic resource allocation.

In my talk, I will focus on the role of semantically described services in our proposed solution. Resources, e.g., personnel or ambulances, and available functionality are modeled as services and described in a machine interpretable way. This allows for their automatic, dynamic allocation. In order to ensure availability of necessary services in such a dynamic network, a protocol for service replication is proposed, which will be presented in the second part of the talk.
