The presentation will report on the just finished work on systematic exploration
of machine learning in an integrated, multi-functional system that is operating in a
dynamic, significantly unpredictable environment in close collaboration with a human
user - what came to be called "Learning in the Wild".

In this talk Prof. Dr. Israel will share some of the lessons they have learned.
CALO was a 5-year DARPA funded project with the focus to build an intelligent
assistant for knowledge workers, such as ourselves.
The lecture will be held within the interACT Distiguished Lecture Series between
Universität Karlsruhe (TH), Carnegie Mellon University, USA, Hong Kong University
of Science and Technology and Waseda University, Japan.
