This Info2 Workshop event provides students with an overview about the different ways and possibilities of going abroad.  The various programs will be presented and what you need to consider if you intend to study abroad.

The event is primarily aimed at students who would like to apply for:

∎ Application for the academic year 2025/26 (WS 25/26 and SoSe 26)

This Workshop is relevant for all students in the KIT Department of Informatics who are pursuing a KIT degree may participate in the program regardless of EU nationality.

∎ How to register for Tutorials if you missed the registration period
∎ University resources
∎ Life in Karlsruhe and KIT
∎ German language and cultural adjustment
∎ Learning Agreements (only for Exchange students)
 
There will be several points during the Workshop to ask questions as well as at the end to talk with the peers and ISS Adviser.
 
Exchange students as well as international students starting off their studies at the KIT Department of Informatics should attend this workshop.

Vorgestellt werden: Lerninhalte, Aufbau und Qualifikationsziele des Studienganges sowie Berufsperspektiven und der Weg in den konsekutiven Master. Des Weiteren wird es gehen um die formalen Zugangsvoraussetzungen zum Studium, den Bewerbungsprozess insgesamt sowie das hochschuleigene Auswahlverfahren. Wir nehmen außerdem die Besonderheiten des Studienganges am KIT im Vergleich zu anderen Hochschul(art)en in den Blick und du lernst mögliche weitere Kriterien für deine persönliche Studienentscheidung kennen. Ein aktives Mitwirken deinerseits durch Fragen, Fragen, Fragen ist ausdrücklich erwünscht!
 
Die Veranstaltung findet in deutscher Sprache statt. Eine Anmeldung ist nur bis 12.00 Uhr am Vortag möglich.
 
Hinweis: Die Veranstaltung findet über zoom statt. Zeitnah vor Veranstaltungsbeginn wird der Link zum Meetingraum per Email an die bei der Anmeldung benutzten Emailadresse verschickt. A member of the "Übungsleiter"-Team for Programming will facilitate the workshop.  Vital information regarding best practices for Programming, where common errors are made and answer student questions will be addressed.
 
At the end of the workshop students will have an opportunity meet with other students who are looking for a study partner/group.  This will be held in the room where the workshop takes place.
