Taster Lectures
What are taster lectures?
Unlike classes at school, the subject matter at universities and colleges is mainly transferred by lectures.
These are lectures on specific topics and are attended by students for a period of one term. A taster lecture is recommended for gaining initial insights into a particular course of study.
The ZIB (Centre for Information and Consultancy) offers information if you have any further questions.

Do I have to register in advance?
No. You can attend several introductory lectures as a temporary guest student, i.e. not for the complete term.
These events do not use attendance sheets.
What will I learn?
Taster lectures are not aimed at gaining a complete understanding of the respective subject matter. Rather, they are about recognising differences to school classes and seeing how the teaching of a specific subject matter is done at universities and colleges.
This way, school pupils and those pupils who have already achieved their entry qualifications can gain insights into the learning atmosphere at the Department of Informatics at the KIT.
