CHE-Masterranking 2020

The current ranking of the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE) ranks the two master's programs in industrial engineering and Information Systems at KIT among the top three in the German-speaking countries.


Both courses received very good marks from students in the categories general study situation, academic relevance, support during studies and transition between bachelor and master studies. In Information Systems, top marks were awarded above all for the sub-options "Reference to central and innovative research results", "Content breadth of the course offerings", "Access to courses" and "Quality, accessibility and completeness of materials for courses and examinations". Industrial Engineering and Management received top marks in particular for the "Possibilities of individual subject-specific specialisation in studies/freedom in the choice of modules", for the "breadth of course content", for "quality, accessibility and completeness of materials for courses and examinations" and for "teaching/practicing scientific thinking in general".


CHE-Rankings provide information for the choice of study


With its rankings, the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE) offers prospective students information that helps them find the right study programs. The CHE has examined more than 300 universities and universities of applied sciences. In addition to facts about studies, teaching and research, the current ranking includes assessments by students, professors and lecturers on the study conditions in the subjects of psychology, electrical engineering and information technology, mechanical engineering, civil engineering and environmental engineering/construction at their universities. In this year's ranking, the CHE examined the subjects Business Administration, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering and Management and Economics.
