Scholarship and Exchange Programmes

From a financial perspective, scholarships offer the most secure form of support and funding since they are granted in the form of "complete allowances". Unlike the Education and Training Assistance Fund provided by the German "BAföG" scheme, the recipient does not have to pay back the funds they receive.

  • College for Gifted Students
The College for Gifted Students brings together various scholarship programmes at the Department of Informatics under one scheme.
  • interACT (International Center for Advanced Communication Technologies)
Scholarships for outstanding students intending to specialise their studies in Informatics through a period of research in the USA.
  • Stipendien, an denen das KIT beteiligt ist
    • The Deutschlandstipendium at KIT is a scholarship worth 300 € per month for the duration of one year.

    • The KIT-CERN Technical Student Programme can last from 4 up to 12 months and consists of a contribution to travel expenses, health insureance and SFr. 3283 per month (approx. EUR 2750).

  • External Scholarships
  • Double-Master Programme in Informatics

Within the framework of a German-French Double Masters program of study, both a French and a German Master's degree can be earned concurrently.
