The KIT offers students a variety of opportunities to gain international experience as an exchange / temporary student OR a degree seeking international student.

Degree seeking international student:
KIT welcomes Students from around the world and offers opportunity for you to deepen your expertise in computer science and work with cutting-edge technologies at a leading German university.

Exchange / temporary student:
This applies both to KIT students who are planning to go abroad (Outgoing) and to international
students who are planning to study at the KIT (Incoming).

  • Incoming: Students who are pursuing their degree at another university who are interested in studying at KIT for only 1 to 2 semesters.

  • Outgoing: For all students of the KIT Department of Informatics pursuing a KIT degree (regardless of EU citizenship), various exchange programs are offered to spend 1 to 2 semesters at a partner university in Europe or on another continent. Enrollment at KIT within our department is required both at the time of application and during the entire stay abroad. In addition, there is also the option of a german-french double master's degree or an internship abroad.
