International degree-seeking students at the KIT Department of Informatics

We are excited to welcome international students pursuing a full-time degree at KIT to our department and community!

Before Admission:
As a first step, start by reading the KIT Department of Informatics' information on Studying at the Department of Informatics and KIT International Affairs’ information on Degree-Seeking Prior to Studies and the Application website. These websites provide more information about the requirements, preparations, tuition fees and first steps as a degree-seeking student at KIT.

After Admission:
We are keen to help you take the next steps toward becoming part of the KIT community!

As an international degree-seeking student at KIT, you can explore your interests in the field of informatics in a challenging and interesting program of study. As you begin your studies here, there is a lot of information and support available. The Department of Informatics' website and FAQs are full of information that you will need to read and review. In addition, Informatics Study Program Services (ISS) hosts the International Student Roundtable (ISRT) and other events and resources to support you throughout your studies.

The International Student Roundtable (ISRT) assists our international students by providing vital and timely information and addressing all their questions. Once you have been admitted to KIT, it is advisable to attend your first ISRT (Pre Arrival Orientation). Throughout your first semester, three more ISRTs are held, covering different topics at relevant points during the semester. They will help you navigate your studies and get involved in life at KIT and in Karlsruhe.

The dates of the ISRTs in the current semester are listed in the Event Calendar of the ISS.
The slides and videos of the ISRTs from previous semesters are uploaded in the Event Archive.
