Liebe Studierende, wir laden Sie herzlich zum TechTalk mit Chrono24 ein: „Technical Debt: We Know It’s There. Why Don’t We Do Anything About It?“. Technical debt is a familiar concept for most developers, yet we often feel stuck when it comes to addressing it. It is widely acknowledged, but rarely prioritized. In this talk, we challenge the core assumptions behind technical debt and explore why it so often remains untouched. Drawing on recent research, we show how codebase health affects team performance and highlight non-linear relationships that are easy to overlook. Finally, we offer an alternative way to think about technical debt and discuss how it can be addressed alongside, rather than in competition with, other project priorities. Referent: Dr.-Ing.
