Des Weiteren wird es gehen um die formalen Zugangsvoraussetzungen zum Studium, den Bewerbungsprozess insgesamt sowie das hochschuleigene Auswahlverfahren. Wir nehmen außerdem die Besonderheiten des Studienganges am KIT im Vergleich zu anderen Hochschul(art)en in den Blick und du lernst mögliche weitere Kriterien für deine persönliche Studienentscheidung kennen. Ein aktives Mitwirken deinerseits durch Fragen, Fragen, Fragen ist ausdrücklich erwünscht!   Die Veranstaltung findet in deutscher Sprache statt. Eine Anmeldung ist nur bis 12.00 Uhr am Vortag möglich.   Hinweis: Die Veranstaltung findet über zoom statt. Zeitnah vor Veranstaltungsbeginn wird der Link zum Meetingraum per Email an die bei der Anmeldung benutzten Emailadresse verschickt. Which lectures do I attend and what are my priorities this semester?  Now that you know your results from your first bachelor semester, this is an opportunity to focus on your second semester, planning, as well as elective modules and minor and how to master them successfully.  Together we will address your questions and give tips about which subject combinations make sense.  In case you failed / did not write one or more exams in the previous semester, we will go into detail about what you should bear in mind and tips on how you can approach this semester. In addition planning future semesters elective modules and minor as well as how to master them successfully. For all INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS in first semester of their studies in the KIT Department of Informatics, it is important to participate in this event The advising team will answer questions and give advice about what you need to do in the first few weeks of your studies: The primarily focus will be:      ∎ Admitted but not here yet      ∎ Arrived and how to organizing your studies effectively and Module selection             ∎ CAS, ILIAS and Wiwi-Portal             ∎ How to register for Tutorials if you missed the registration period             ∎ University resources      ∎ Life in Karlsruhe and KIT      ∎ German language and cultural adjustment      ∎ Learning Agreements (for Exchange students) The workshop will be held in englisch. You can also ask questions in German or English. Who is it for?   International students (both degree seeking and exchange) enrolled in Bachelor or master program in the KIT Department of Informatics.   *ISRT (International Student Roundtable) is for all international students enrolled in KIT Department of Informatics. For new and returning students: get together!   In this Get-Together you can chat and/or play various board games. This also provides you with an opportunity to meet study partners for modules you are taking and/or with whom you can do free-time activities with.   You can chat with others in german or english.

„Reimagining Architecture With Real-Time Rendering. Enscape behind the scenes“   Real-time rendering is transforming the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, but it comes with a unique set of technical hurdles. How do you render massive, complex architectural datasets at interactive framerates without any pre-baking or preprocessing? How do you handle entirely unpredictable mesh topologies while scaling across a huge range of consumer hardware?   Join KIT alumni and engineers from Chaos (the creators of industry-standard visualization tools like V-Ray and Enscape) for a technical deep dive into the Enscape real-time rendering engine. There will also be a Q&A round, where you ask questions in English or German   This Workshop is relevant for all students in the KIT Department of Informatics who are pursuing a KIT degree.
